About Us

It started on a hill above the water.

A few years ago at Palos Verdes Cove in California, our family was making the half-mile hike down to our favorite surf spot. Longboards under our arms. Wetsuits half on. The kids barely managing boards bigger than they were.

By the time we reached the ocean, we were already exhausted. And then came the next challenge; a rocky shoreline. When we set our boards down to zip up we worried about scratches and dings, or sand getting into fresh wax. Our beloved boards deserve better than that.

So Adam built something.

Not for a company.
Not for a product launch.
Just for us.

He wanted a better way to carry our boards down the trailand a cleaner, safer place to rest them once we reached the water.

What started as a simple solution for our family became something we used every single session. Friends began asking about it. Other surfers at the Cove wanted one. And over time, that homemade solution became the Surfstandle.

We’re not a big sporting goods brand.

We’re a surfing family who got tired of the same problems everyone else deals with; long walks, heavy boards, rocky beaches, and unnecessary dings.

The Surfstandle was built from real sessions, real hikes, and real frustration. It’s been tested on the trails and shorelines of Palos Verdes for years before ever being offered publicly.

And we’re proud to share it now.

Designed by a surfer.
Used by a family.
Built for real life.

Patent Pending.

Surfstandle is made from waterproofed Euro-ply Baltic Birch. The dowels are waterproofed Birch.

Surfstandle is manufactured using a CAD template designed to maximize the number of units per sheet while minimizing waste. In keeping with sustainable woodworking practices, off-cuts and scraps have been repurposed.
